Recently, on another engineering website there was a discussion that concerned steel sheet pile simultaneously retaining soil and supporting significant vertical load. In the course of this thread, found out very little research has been directed at this issue.
Today, saw an offer for a free printed publication by Nucor Skyline titled: “Steel Sheet Pile Bridge Abutment Technical Design Manual”. I have not seen it, but here is the link to order the free printed book.
