I think some people here knew Stephen through other forums. I knew him from his articles and the last edition of IChemE Rules of Chemical Engineering book. I saw his son had posted about his passing on LinkedIn. Though I work in the pharmaceutical world, I never ran into him - and yet I still fell like I learned from him.
