My office mate had two boys at UNCC yesterday. One goes there. One was visiting former co-workers. The one visiting got caught up in the lock down of a building beside the building where the shooting occurred. That’s almost close enough to being personal.
I wish I knew an answer to this madness.

I read today how Riley’s Mom and Dad are taking the loss. They are devastated and bursting with pride at the same time. That must blunt the loss a great deal…
Your country is diminished by the loss of Riley… He would have likely grown up to be a fine young citizen.
