Reconditioning a really old Leslie PRV used to throttle 150# saturated steam; valve disc completely missing. What material would be best?

It looks like Leslie recommends a hardened SS for steam. It’s a SS with Stelite. If you know size and model you should be able to order replacement parts.

Turned out it was a Watts valve, not a Leslie, Chief Engineer had new disc fabricated in SS, and hardened, I think; same is all lapped in, installation should be completed by the weekend, calibration and performance testing will have to await raising of steam for the season.
